The Garment Is The Gunfight

The Garment Is The Gunfight

Dry-Fire · At Home

15 reps of nothing but the garment clear — both hands, then strong-hand-only sweep. Then 10 full draws from true concealment to a verified picture.

Live-Fire · At the Range

8 strings: from real concealment, draw, 2 rds, inner box, 7 yd. Wear what you actually wear on a Tuesday, not range gear.

Service Pistol

If you carry off-duty, this IS your day — run the off-duty rig.

Concealed Carry

Your whole archetype today. The closet is your gear locker — train the real wardrobe.

Carbine

Trunk/staged-gun version: from case or rack to mounted, deliberate and safe.

Optional Standard

AUX (when ready): concealment draw to first hit within 0.5s of your open-rig time.

Mind

Hands check: are yours doing something useful right now, or just something fast?

Your Daily Callout — By Archetype

The Initiator Yours

The garment will snag the day you rush it. Sweep big, every time.

The Scout Yours

Pick your spot on the target before the hand moves to the shirt.

The Guardian Yours

You don't get to choose what you're wearing when it matters. Train all of it.

The Strategist Yours

Audit the wardrobe like gear, because it is gear.

Coach's Note

Layer: seated starts — car seat or kitchen chair.

Standards & Safety
The Four Rules — Every Rep, No Exceptions
  1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded — always, no matter what you think you know.
  2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have decided to fire.
  4. Be sure of your target — and everything beyond it.

Dry-fire: no ammunition in the room. Verify the firearm is clear — twice. Use a safe backstop. When you finish, say it out loud: “Dry fire is over.”
