No warmup at all. The first five presses of your day, filmed, judged against last month's clip. Whatever they look like is the honest answer.
Walk to the line cold with no sighters: ten rounds at 10 yards on the Bull, scored. Then shoot ten more warm and compare. The cold score is the real one.
Shoot the first string in full gear, straight from the vehicle if range rules allow.
Shoot it from the rig you wore in. This is the most honest test in the program.
One cold shot at 50 yards from an improvised position. That single round is the data point.
AUX (when ready): cold score within ten percent of the warm score.
The day you need this will not give you a warmup.
No warmup means no momentum to hide behind, which is the point.
Cold data is clean data because nothing about it is rehearsed.
Nobody schedules an emergency around your practice routine.
You now have two numbers. The gap between them is the work that remains.
Layer: cold full sequence of draw, two rounds, reload, two rounds.
Dry-fire: no ammunition in the room. Verify the firearm is clear — twice. Use a safe backstop. When you finish, say it out loud: “Dry fire is over.”
Non-negotiable. Every drill, every rep, every time. This applies to live fire and dry fire.
