Verified clear. Twenty support-hand-only presses on the squares. Grip the gun deliberately, because the hand you do not favor will not fix a bad grip on its own.
Twenty rounds at 5 yards, support hand only, five rounds per square. Expect this to be humbling the first time and better the third.
Practice the transfer as well as the shooting. Getting the gun into the other hand is half the skill.
Assume your strong hand is occupied holding a child, a door, or a phone. That is the realistic version of this drill.
Carbine version: shoot from the support shoulder at 25 yards.
AUX (when ready): all twenty rounds inside their squares, support hand only.
You have two hands and no guarantee about which one will be available.
This drill will frustrate you. Stay on it rather than switching back.
Notice what your grip does differently on this side and correct it deliberately.
If one arm is holding someone, the other one has to be able to work.
Add support-hand reps to every precision day and the gap closes within a month.
Layer: practice the one-handed transfer between strings.
Dry-fire: no ammunition in the room. Verify the firearm is clear — twice. Use a safe backstop. When you finish, say it out loud: “Dry fire is over.”
Non-negotiable. Every drill, every rep, every time. This applies to live fire and dry fire.
