Verified clear. Twenty presses at a dot from across the room, as far back as your space allows. Small and far exposes everything that 3 yards forgives.
Twenty rounds at 15 yards, four rounds per dot. Call each shot before you look. Score yourself on whether the call matched the hole.
Take advantage of the sight radius and hold the tighter standard.
Fifteen yards with a carry gun is a real test. Shoot it with the gun you actually have on you.
Move to 100 yards if the range allows and shoot the same standard from a supported position.
AUX (when ready): sixteen of twenty rounds inside their dots at 15 yards.
Being able to make a precise shot at distance is what gives you options other than shooting.
Your speed does not help you here, and that is the lesson.
Calling your shots correctly matters more than the score today.
Precision is how you solve a problem without endangering the people behind it.
Log the score. Three months of this drill will show you a clear trend.
Layer: shoot the final five rounds from kneeling.
Dry-fire: no ammunition in the room. Verify the firearm is clear — twice. Use a safe backstop. When you finish, say it out loud: “Dry fire is over.”
Non-negotiable. Every drill, every rep, every time. This applies to live fire and dry fire.
