Dry-Fire · At Home
Tonight is dark, crowded, full of children, and full of people in costume and masks. Verified clear, twenty draws from under your actual coat, with the deliberate decision on each rep of whether the situation calls for the gun or for moving people. Most of these reps should end without presenting.
Live-Fire · At the Range
Fifteen rounds at 7 yards on the quadrants with a caller mixing valid and invalid calls. Anything shot on an invalid call counts double against you. If you are out with family tonight, dry practice is the whole assignment.
Service Pistol
If you are working tonight, this is a crowd management night more than anything else.
Concealed Carry
Carrying in a crowd of children is the highest-restraint environment you will be in all year.
Carbine
There is no role for a carbine tonight unless you are on duty.
AUX (when ready): no presentations on invalid calls, with correct hits on the valid ones.
Masks and costumes make identification harder, and identification is the whole job tonight.

Tonight is about not drawing. Move, block, and leave before you consider anything else.
A crowd gives you more to read and less time to read it. Slow down and stay wide.
You are out there with your people and everyone else's. Restraint is the assignment.
Decide your rules before you leave the house: where you park, where you stand, when you leave.
Layer: run five reps while holding something in your support hand.
- Treat every firearm as if it is loaded — always, no matter what you think you know.
- Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
- Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have decided to fire.
- Be sure of your target — and everything beyond it.
Dry-fire: no ammunition in the room. Verify the firearm is clear — twice. Use a safe backstop. When you finish, say it out loud: “Dry fire is over.”
